And still walking. Switched to MapMyWalk for tracking and having trouble posting from there. I’m up to 2.5 miles/50 min. a day, now. Will try posting it again tomorrow. I’ve lost 13 lbs. and 2 jeans sizes, though and just feel better in general! :) Hope y’all are doing good!
So avoid using the word ‘very’ because it’s lazy. A man is not very tired, he is exhausted. Don’t use very sad, use morose. Language was invented for one reason, boys - to woo women - and, in that endeavor, laziness will not do. —Dead Poets Society

Day 2: Same challenge as yesterday - walk 15 - 30 min. at a comfortable pace, remembering to stretch. Pushed myself just a little. ;)

Legs feel much better now, so I’m back at it. :)
I signed up for About.com’s Walk of Life thing last night. Each day I get an email with challenges for beginners and advanced walkers, a theme, tips and healthy recipes. Pretty neat! I took the beginner challenge: walk 15 - 30 min. at a com
fortable pace, taking time to stretch. It gave me stretching tips and exercises, but it wanted me to stretch after walking for 5 min. There was nowhere for me to do that, so I stretched before and after. 3 mph seems to be my “comfortable pace.” I DID try to go slower….lol.

Like what.
I use sweet-n-low in my cereal and tea and I like sprite zero. Occasionally I get the sugar-free klondike bars. You have to watch the sugar-free stuff though, because a lot of it is loaded with fat. Likewise, a lot of the fat-free stuff is loaded with carbs. The fat-free/sugar-free yogurt is good. I like cherry vanilla with some fresh grapes mixed in. :)

sugar I can understand to a point….but salt?
salt?
“Salt Diabetes” is what they used to call hypernatremia, although I’m 45 and haven’t heard “Salt Diabetes” since I was 12. Interesting…

Cheesy Diabetes Poem
Poke, poke - Do you feel pain?
Stabbed with needles every day
This is what our futures hold
Carried with us ‘til we’re old
But the prospects aren’t so grim
You take care and you might win
We are type one and type two
Some fought for years but some are new
To each other we lend hands
Somehow it’s taller that we stand
None of us are made of stone
It helps to know we’re not alone
by me… Bri …

Life is like a pair of pants. Some days you find money in the pocket, and other days your pocket catches on the doorknob of your classroom and you take out three desks and a foreign exchange student as you stumble in.
